Drivo is a New York-based car rental brand. We’ve been working with the team for a while — handled a full redesign, launched ad campaigns, and the next step was a deep dive into product UX and UI.

ABOUT

The old website felt stuck in the early 2000s — cluttered design, poor navigation, generic icons and stock photography. It confused users from the first screen, and the 5-step booking process made rentals unnecessarily difficult.

PROBLEm

Our goal was clear: build a user journey that makes sense. From the moment someone lands on the site, they should understand where they are, what they can do here, and how to do it — easily.

РЕШЕНИЕ

We reimagined the user account from scratch. It used to be just a form to pre-fill during checkout. Now it’s a full-featured dashboard with:

— booking history (active, canceled, completed)
— loyalty points and cashback tracking
— saved payment methods
We also added Google and Apple sign-in. As a result, monthly user registrations grew from 3% to 14%, and user engagement with the dashboard jumped by 76%.

USER PROFILE

Using real user journey data, we redesigned the booking process and simplified it from five steps to just three: rental parameters, personal info, optional add-ons.

We introduced a new booking widget with location, date, and car model selection. Personal data was grouped into logical blocks, and extras like insurance were added via clean toggle switches. The result: a 30% faster booking completion rate.

BOOKING FLOW

Another key improvement was reorganizing the product catalog. Previously, cars were displayed randomly, making it hard to find the right fit.

We introduced clear categories based on user needs:

— Standard cars: sedans, SUVs, compacts, minivans
— Vans: 12- and 15-passenger, commercial cargo
— Long-term rentals, partner programs, corporate rentals

PRODUCT STRUCTURE

We also created dedicated Car Brand pages showing available models by brand, and built location pages with working hours, exact addresses, and parking maps for each pickup/drop-off point.
We launched a fully structured Help Center with an FAQ section and live chat, so users can get answers quickly. We also built a content hub with SEO-driven blog posts and guides for different audiences (tourists, families, business clients) to increase time on site and improve organic visibility.

PRODUCT STRUCTURE

The new website became a proper extension of the Drivo brand — a fast, intuitive platform that helps users find the right car and book it in just a few clicks.
